The Lectors and Commentators Ministry (LecCom) is one of the most dynamic service groups in the Chapel. The servants of this ministry ensure that the Word of God is accorded due meaning and significance for the laity to lead a true Christian life.
The LecCom servants perform a variety of tasks. They lead the laity in proclaiming the spiritual readings and in motivating them in the responses. They also lead us in praying for the intentions of the Pope, the Church and the laity during the “Prayers of the Faithful.”
Lastly, the Commentators assist in maintaining the general order before, during and after the holy sacrifice of the mass by providing clear instructions and reminders to the laity.
LecCom members need to have a clear understanding of the order of the mass and acquire love of the Holy Scriptures, indeed, every LecCom servant serves as an instrument to spread the faith at the very venue that Christ himself instituted, the Eucharist.
