The Liturgical Environment Ministry (LEM) is one of the noblest service groups in the Chapel. The servants of this ministry work behind the scene before, during and after the Chapel’s Eucharistic celebration.
The LEM members perform a variety of tasks. They take care of the vessels and prepare the vestments of the priest celebrant. They also prepare other liturgical paraphernalia and the altar ensuring that they are kept clean, orderly and worthy.
In addition, the ministry also assists the priest in the planning and preparation of the Liturgical celebrations.
Because of the importance of this ministry in the holy sacrifice of the Mass, members need to have a clear understanding of the liturgical seasons, feasts, memorials, and the corresponding colors of the vestments.
